Born in Paraiba in 1972, he started painting in 1985, under the guidance of the artist Alexandre Filho. He developed a very expressive painting, portraying the man of the hinterland and his everyday life, in the midst of his abundant harvests and exuberant vegetation. His inspiration comes from an idealized and subjective vision of the Caiçara town, in the hinterland of his state, where he grew up and from which he borrowed his artistic surname “Tananduba”, one of the sites of this region. He displays a wide curriculum of exhibits and references in art catalogs.
